Treats welcome. My settings allow them.

What I want most is a story that you enjoyed writing. In many cases, I nominated and/or requested single characters. That's more aimed at not limiting you than at me not wanting those characters interacting with others. For / character interactions, I'll be as (and often more) happy with a G or a T rated interaction as with something E rated.

I'm more interested in character development and non-romantic plots, generally speaking, but don't mind romance and/or sex. If I've asked for an / pairing, I'm expecting it. For happy relationships, I prefer established relationships.

I'm usually good with most background pairings and with appearances by characters I didn't request but who fit the story. I will generally specify if there's a character or pairing I wish to avoid.

I would much prefer getting a story you loved writing that avoids my DNWs than something you didn't enjoy writing but think is exactly what I want. Exchanges are imperfect things.

Unless I specify otherwise in my sign up details, I am always open to recursives of my own work. My blanket permission statement is here.

I have visual processing issues that mean that I can't really appreciate a lot of art, vids, and the like. It has gotten worse over the last few years, and I can't offer clear parameters regarding what I can or can't manage because it varies.

In some cases, my DNWs include things I have written and/or things that would be okay under very specific circumstances. Those DNWs are simply because it's easier to detour around the field entirely than to define the exact route for avoiding the landmines.

Me not giving a specific prompt for a character or grouping that I requested does not mean I want them less. It means I got overwhelmed with all of the detail.

Generally speaking, I like:
Canon divergence.
Crack treated seriously.
Time travel fix-its.
Time loops with humor.
Unreliable narrators.
Two or more characters simultaneously trying to manipulate each other.
Divided loyalties.
Characters having inexplicably survived their tragic, canonical deaths.
Crossovers.
Established relationships with trust and good boundaries.
Worldbuilding, generally.
Worldbuilding that explores scaffolding/logistics in the background of canon.
Explorations of the dark implications that canon ignores.
Bisexual characters.
Genderqueer characters.
Poly characters and relationships.
Open ended stories.
5 things and variants.

Note: What I write is not necessarily consistent with what I like to read. I read a lot less porn than I write and am not necessarily interested in any particular kink, even when I've written it more than once. Gen is good. G, T, or M rated relationships are also good. I'm not saying no sex scenes or no explicit sex, more that such things aren't the point for me.

The Hollow (Cartoon)
Vanessa
Mira
The Weird Guy

I'm open to fics about one or two of the three requested characters if that works better for you. I'm also open to season 1 and/or season 2 versions of Mira and Vanessa and the appearance of characters I didn't request specifically.

I'm curious about both the world outside of the game and about what happens inside the game after the end of season 2. Are the characters (either iteration!) safe? How will the season 2 versions grow and change given where (and what) they are. Is The Weird Guy on the up and up? How does he feel about his job or about the unexpected happenings.

I would prefer to see post-season 2 Mira and Vanessa friendly to each other. This doesn't mean no disagreements or completely congruent worldviews; I'm looking more for can work on a project together without constant sniping or sabotaging each other. The season 1 versions are potentially more complicated, so do whatever makes sense to you.

I'd be open to The Hollow and the games as a cover for something nefarious (my brain gives me House of Stairs echoes which makes me think dystopian experiment. It could equally be alien anthropologists or...) or as new tech chasing marketshare.

I'm fine with vampires, zombies, werewolves and unicorns inside The Hollow but would prefer not to have them as major plot elements.

Fandom specific DNW: Please don't change Adam's stated sexuality from gay to straight. If all of the season 2 versions end up in some sort of polycule (without explicit sex, please), I don't mind him turning out to be bi as long as everyone else is, too.

Sky High (2005)
Layla Williams
Gwen Grayson
Penny Lent

I'm okay with a fic focused on one or two of these three characters as well as to one with all three. I'm also fine with most other canonical characters showering up.

I'm curious about how Penny's duplication powers change her view of the world and of herself. Why did she join Gwen?

I'm curious about Gwen's future and about her past as Sue Tenny. If you want to write about Sue, there's no need to try to fit Penny or Layla in.

I tend to view Layla as having supervillain potential as she gets older and more frustrated with the ways that the world is broken; if that's not your view, though, I'm happy with superhero Layla or civilian Layla. In any case, I wonder about her interactions with Gwen and/or Penny post-canon. I could see her trying to help one or both reform. I could see her fighting them if they remain villains.

Just have some fun with it.

Canon specific DNW: Interactions between Gwen and Stitches. References are fine, but everything about how he raised her hits my child harm buttons. I mean, the best case for that relationship is that he groomed her from infancy to be a villain.

Phoebe and Her Unicorn - Dana Simpson
Phoebe Howell
Marigold Heavenly Nostrils
Dakota

The unicorns in this canon are 100% an exception to my usual DNW for unicorns. Most of my DNW for unicorns comes from the cultural connotations around purity, virginity, etc. which are much harder to explain as a DNW. Write the unicorns as they're portrayed in canon, and I'll have fun.

I would enjoy a story with all of these characters, with two of them, or focused just on one of them. I would welcome other canonical characters.

I'm fascinated by unicorn culture and by Dakota's thing with the goblins. I love how Phoebe and Dakota interact in later canon as Phoebe has to accept that Dakota's more complicated than Phoebe thought and Dakota has to accept that Phoebe is one of the few people she can talk to about magical weirdness.

I adore Marigold and her vanity, her weird magical spells, her extended family, her stories about unicorn history.

Canon specific DNW: Angst. Unicorns caring at all about virginity as a Thing.

The Pretender
Jarod
Miss Parker

I'm good with any of the nominated characters showing up but would prefer not to have anything from Mr Lyle's point of view.

I'm largely agnostic on the subject of Jarod/Miss Parker. Ship them if you do. Or don't if it doesn't fit the story. I do think they're emotionally entangled with each other and that there are aspects of their lives that no one else can ever quite understand; it's just that that might be a barrier between them as much as a draw toward each other.

Feel free to cherrypick details from later canon and/or to diverge before a point of your choice. The last couple of seasons had fairly rickety plot arcs that contradicted themselves a lot and added Big New Twists to cover up all of the holes. I still love the characters, though, including some of the newer ones.

Fandom specific DNW: Thomas bashing. Detailed discussion of The Centre's experiments on children. Giving Miss Parker a first name. The book reboot as canon.

Hilda (Cartoon)
Johanna | Hilda's Mum

I'm requesting Johanna because I feel her dilemma's so very much. I have a daughter (now in college), and I can tell that Johanna is trying hard to find the right line between letting Hilda grow and keeping Hilda (and everyone else) safe. She's also got parts of her life that are only peripherally about Hilda and, presumably, things she wants for herself.

Does she have magical encounters that Hilda never finds out about? Does she wish for them? What are her interactions with other parents like? I mean the ones without the kids around. Pre-canon, why were they living out in the middle of nowhere? Does Johanna have any support for when she's worrying about what Hilda might be up to?
