Source poem uses a word that is currently a slur, g--, but context and a dictionary check showed that it wasn't meant to refer to that culture/ethnicity but had a different etymology and referred to college servants. I'm still mentioning it because most readers will simply recognize the slur. None of the snippets here contain it.
